Born in a religiously controlled village, Oblyvis was raised alongside many others of his kind who shared the same goal; to grow up, get a job in the village, and keep the standards for aurafaith alive. In time, however, he began to question the world outside of their social bubble. During the night, he'd sneak into the night to explore the vast lands around his village's borders. The world beyond them was wonderous and exotic; why did anyone bother staying here? One night, though, he was attacked. He flew home covered in his own blood and vomit. Instead of being greeted respectfully, his father scolded him for being out during the hours of moonrise; claiming it was Mirror's influence whisking him away from everything his family had tried so hard to build for him. Beaten unconscious, Oblyvis woke up in an orphanage in a neighboring town. The healer present at his bedside claimed he had been dropped off by someone claiming to have found him on his way to the market, and that they had nursed him back to health. Now calling the orphanage his home, he grew up and out of there in the coming years, and had learned to face the world alone.
