Something for fun... was inspired by Greg Tocchini's illustration of the evolution of man into an illustrator.Left to right: monkey, ape, hominid, Vandal Savage, Tarzan, John Carter, The Shadow, Batman, Wolverine, and Kick-Ass.

Was I the only one who mistook Kick-Ass for a Hydra goon at first.
Also great idea for the John Carter-The Shadow-Batman series of evolution, not too sureΒ how Wolverine fits in between Batman and Kick-Ass though.

I love the idea and marvelous execution. My son also had fun trying to name everyone in all of the stages. "Who's Tarzan!?" We're off to read some Edgar Rice Burroughs for bedtime.
