He can increase the flame through his palms ONLY, if his hands are disabled, he loses his ability until he gains the use of his hands back. Also, each time he uses his power, he loses energy. The amount of energy used depends on the amount of fire and the distance from him. For example, it takes more energy to manipulate a flame that is two meters from him than one in his palms.

Eclipse must take the blood of another into his body, be it through a wound or by drinking it. However, the very sight of blood can make him ill, and drinking it would mentally kill him, causing him great pain when he takes the remuneration. He usually falls asleep right afterwards, and it is unclear whether his remuneration is actually the blood or falling asleep, perhaps both.

•• Aware and Suspicious- Being raised by a gang, he is always wary of his surroundings. This eventually led to him being very suspicious of everything and everyone. It is not unusual to receive false information from him, since he never trusts anyone, unless you are lucky, or stupid enough. In rare occasions, he will learn to trust you, but this takes a lot of patience and courage.
•• Serious- He has been in situations where having fun has almost cost him his life. In the end, he is usually very serious and almost never jokes around, only once in a lifetime, showing he occasional genuine smile. Other times, it's just a smirk that he picked up from fellow ex-gang members.
•• Confident and Stubborn- Having talents as a fighter even before becoming a contractor, he gained his confidence from being promoted quickly over other gang members, almost all being older. He is also quite stubborn, and refuses to admit that he is wrong. It takes a lot of skills to convince him.

•• Eclipse was born into a middle-class family, along with a little sister, whom he loved very much. However, when he was young, his parents died in a car crash, leaving him and his little sister to fend for themselves.

They were taken in by a street gang, who raised Eclipse and his sister as their own. However, being in a gang was still tough, especially for Eclipse, as his talents in fighting (mostly learned from thieving in the streets) were recognized and he was pressured to participate in gang fights to earn himself and his sister a place in the gang.

Eclipse quickly moved up in ranks, quickly becoming the second-hand man next to the boss. Although the gang boss was known for being particular mean and nasty, he treated Eclipse and his sister as his own children.

However, one tragic night when Eclipse was 15, the gang was betrayed by one of its members. Another gang attacked them, and almost everyone was slaughtered. Eclipse fought desperately, but failed to save his own sister. Following this tragic moment, he immediate fell into a turmoil of emotions: anger, sadness, guilt.

At that moment, his existence as a Contractor was discovered. Suddenly, the flames from the battle grew wild. As his anger increased, the flames increased as well. This caused a huge fire, killing almost everyone nearby. Only the area around Eclipse was left untouched.

Still with tears running down his cheeks and holding his sister's body (which he didn't know, but was actually bleeding INTO him, which was his remuneration), he sat mourning in the bloodshed, surrounded by flames.

As such an incident caught the attention of the public, the government soon turned its attention to Eclipse, who was considered a public hazard. When the government found out about Eclipse being a Contractor, they took drastic measures to "eliminate" him.

•• After that night, Eclipse quickly ran home and packed his belongings, stuffing all he could carry into a small messenger bag. Being chased by the police, the government, and other gangs (who were all after the bounty on his head), all he could do was run.

Turning into an alley, he crashed into Amber (at that moment, she was 14), who was running in the opposite direction. They stared at each other, wide-eyed, for a moment that seemed like forever, until Eclipse looked over her shoulder and spotted the police chasing after her.

Realizing that there were oil drums in the alley, he spilled the oil over the pathway and set them on fire, causing a huge fire and explosion to ensue. He grabbed Amber by the scarf (much to her annoyance and Eclipse stabbed himself with her needles) and darted up a ladder at the side of the alley.

Eclipse and Amber ran on ahead, finally finding a safe place to rest in an abandoned high-rise building. Eclipse, who had not done his remuneration yet, was weak from using his powers and collapsed after putting Amber down.

Eclipse, still bleeding from stabbing himself with Amber's needles on her scarf, leaning and breathing heavily on the floor, started to bleed from a gunshot wound.

On the verge of death, Amber tries to stitch him up with her needles, accidently stabbing herself a few times in the hurry. When her blood drips onto the wound, Eclipse suddenly felt better. He realizes that each time he uses his power, he must take another's blood into his own body, be it through a wound or through the mouth.

Feeling better, he couldn't help but say, "Are you an angel?" to Amber, much to her amusement. Prompty, he fell asleep. After a while, Amber discovered a mysterious letter in Eclipse's pocket, inviting them to something called Primrose Academy.

When Eclipse woke, Amber showed him the letter, prompting a bit of debate over whether they should attend or not. Realizing that it is the only way to keep living without running as fugitives, they agree to go.

A few months later, Amber 15, and Eclipse 16, they found themselves stumbling into the gates of Primrose Academy, delayed due to the overwhelming swarms of police and both having a bad sense of direction.

•• His original hair colour is black, however he bleached it white when he became the gang's right hand man, perhaps leading to the reason why he was recognized and identified easily by the government. Eclipse quite regrets it, as it was the cause of many troubles, but is too lazy to dye it back.
•• His sister had purple streaks in her hair, which is why Eclipse dyed his hair purple at the edges - as a reminder of his sister.
•• Carries double pistols concealed in his jacket, from his days in a gang. He now uses them as a last resort, using the conjointly with his ability. He can fire bullets of flame.
•• Also carries a small vial of blood, just in case.
•• He has one golden earring with the school emblem on it.
•• Eclipse thinks that Amber has the same personality as her sister, and can't help but be attracted to her.
•• As much as he wants to take revenge on those who killed his sister, he understands that the government was only hunting him down for the good of the world. That is why he decided to follow Amber's intentions of enrolling in the hell dorm. He thinks that contractors/dolls can continue to live peacefully with humans.
•• Has a weird sense of style QuQ.
•• Lost the use of his left eye in an a gunfight. Also has a scar along his back that runs diagonally from his right shoulder blade to his left hip.
