ca. 1900They were both so addicted to the stuff.
Headcanon has it that the only thing Switzerland can drink France under the thable with is Absinthe.
It all began as a silly little conversation on LJ and spawned into this monster. Took me about 3 months, on and off. And it still could be better =/ Thing is, it looks either good or bad, depending on the monitor you're on. Sad times.
If you're half as much a fan of Mucha than I am, you can probably guess at least two of the pictures that inspired this.

I love the swirly-ness and translucent feel of the non-frame colors (especially the smoke)...combined with the heavy black borders, it gives the the piece a stained glass feeling.

haha, yeah I know, the smoke... but it worked best to balance out the picture so in the end I went with it. Besides, it was totally chic back then. Or something idk.

I didn't change the lines, but the coloring. I went with your suggestion and took away all the shinyness and stand-outness, toned down the saturation and added a bit of texture instead. And lemme tell you, I like it a lot more like this. So, thank you soooo much for the crit, it was most helpful
