Ciel Phantomhive was barely conscious. She was roughly carried through a dark hallway by two unknown men, and next to her walked a man who couldn't seem to contain his glee.
They reached a heavy metal door, guarded by a heavily armed woman. She opened the door and the men threw Ciel down on the floor. Only now she realized her hands were tightly tied behind her back. The room was completely empty except for a wooden chair and a broken mirror.
The doors shut, leaving Ciel all by her lonely. She crawled up to the mirror. Her reflection was bruised, bleeding from the nose and mouth and the dress was torn.
Ciel didn't have a clear vision of what had happened. She remembered sitting in her office when somebody had knocked on the door. She'd thought it was Sebastian, so without raising her eyes from her papers, she'd allowed them to enter. After that everything seemed foggy, and she couldn't remember anything more.
The door flew open and a man with long blonde hair stepped in and smirked at Ciel. He dragged the chair to the middle of the room and sat down. Ciel struggled with the ropes, but managed only to stand up.

"I see you're well enough to stand, little Phantomhive." the man said. "You must be wondering where you are, what you are doing here, and who am I."

Ciel didn't respond, but stood completely still, watching the wall in front of her. The man chuckled and leaned back.

"As to who am I." he said. "My name is James. You should've read about me in the newspaper, though I go under the name "the wizard". See, the people seem to believe I use some kind of... magic when I capture my victims, since no one has ever seen me."

Ciel swayed a little. She was feeling nauseous and light-headed, but focused her eyes on the wall.

"As to where you are." James continued. "You're in my secret hideout, far, far north of London, well out of reach of the yard and... the queen."

He leaned forward and rested his head on his knuckles.

"And finally... why are you here." he whispered. "See, I'm wearing nice clothes, right? But how could a commoner like me afford them? Well, little Phantomhive..."

He got up from the chair and walked behind Ciel and placed his hands on her shoulders.

"My... hobby, so to speak, is to kidnap children of wealthy families. And if the parents ever wants to see their children again, they pay me a ransom. And if they, for some reason, cannot afford the ransom, or pay me in time, I either sell the child to a pervert or... I sell their organs."

Ciel shuddered. James seemed to be extremely pleased with himself and walked to the door.

"Since you don't have any parents, I'll send the request to the Queen herself." he said. "I'm sure she's worried about her precious huntress."

He laughed and left the room.
Ciel dropped to her knees, she couldn't hold up her body any longer. She wasn't worried, she knew Sebastian would come for her, weather he wanted or not.
She lay down on the floor. She could hear the guard walking around outside the room. Ciel cast another look in the mirror, but before she could focus enough to see herself, she fell unconscious.

After visiting the Undertaker, Sebastian made his way back to the manor. His young lady had disappeared from her office in the early afternoon, and with no thought of where to search, Sebastian had visited the Undertaker, who'd told him about "the Wizard" and this probably was the work of him.

Arriving at the Phantomhive manor, Finny, the gardener, was waiting for him.

"Sebastian!" he exclaimed as soon as Sebastian jumped down from the carriage.

"What now, Finny?" Sebastian asked, slightly distant.

"This letter..." Finny handed a small letter to Sebastian. "It was at the threshold of the manor..."

Sebastian opened the letter and read a small note ;

' I have the young Ciel Phantomhive in my custody, and if you ever want to see her again, have 500 000 pounds ready at the southern edge of London by the day after tomorrow."

"Well then." Sebastian sighed and gave the note back to Finny. "Look after the manor while I'm gone. I will most likely be home by tomorrow."

"Eeh?" Finny looked up, but Sebastian was gone.

Ciel woke up with a head hurting of migraine. She sat up and looked at the door. She had no idea as to how long she'd been sleeping or what time it was.

"Sebastian is... late." she thought and frowned.

Sebastian was the only reason she was calm. She knew, no matter where she was, Sebastian would come.
The door flew open and James walked in.

"Good morning, little Phantomhive." he said and took his seat on the chair. "It has been almost a day since I had you taken away."

Ciel didn't listen. If she'd been there for an entire day, why hadn't Sebastian saved her yet.

"What's wrong, little Phantomhive?"

James had gotten up and bent down in front of Ciel. He placed his right hand under her cheek and lifted her head to the same height as his. Ciel kept her right eye closed, and the other eye glued to the floor.

"Little Phantomhive." James sighed. "It would be about time you learned some respect."

Suddenly, Ciel released herself from James grip and buried her teeth in his hand.

"What are you doing!?" James yelled. "Let go of me, bitch!"

Ciel focused both of her eyes on James and sunk her teeth even deeper. James shouted and slammed his fist into her in the stomach. Slowly, Ciel could feel her mouth fill up with blood, though she couldn't say if it was her own or James'. She was hurting, but she only hardened her grip. James snarled and punched her in the cheek, this time forcing her to let go. Ciel spat out some blood on the floor and stared at James, who jumped to his feet and backed away, holding his bleeding hand in the other. Though he was breathing heavily, he smiled.

"Even nobility has some nerve, I see." he hissed.

He left the room and slammed the door after him.
Ciel sighed. Leaning to the wall, she noticed how hungry she was. She hadn't eaten since yesterdays lunch, and could hear her stomach growling. She felt weak and vulnerable, and there was nothing she could do to change it.

Sebastian was running. He followed the tracks of a car that had been driving north.
The car had arrived at the Phantomhive manor in the afternoon, when Ciel had been working alone in her office. This had slipped Sebastian's notice, as he'd been making preparations for dinner.
The tracks led into a forest. Sebastian stopped and looked around. He knew his young lady was alive, but she was most likely hurt. He sighed and continued running.

According to Ciel's calculations, she'd been kidnapped nearly two whole days ago. For the first time, she felt uneasy. She had been in situations like this before, but Sebastian had saved her within hours of the capture.
Ciel tried to stand up, but lost her balance and smashed her head against the hard floor.

"Why..." she hissed through gritted teeth. "Why aren't you here?"

Ciel was close to fainting, but managed to crawl to a less painful position.

"Sebastian..." She was barely conscious. "Where are you... Sebastian..?"

Ciel could feel tears burning behind her eyes, and blinked hard to stop them from falling.

"You swore..." her voice was trembling from her anger and pain. "You swore you would always come for me!"

She shut her eyes tightly, trying to block out the pain that filled her entire body.

"You cannot break your promise! Not to me, not now!"

Ciel inhaled roughly a few times, before her pain blinded her completely.

"ANSWEAR ME, SEBASTIAN!!"

The scream broke from her lips before she could stop it. Her throat lost its voice, and she could no longer hinder the tears.

Having reached the edge of the forest, Sebastian gazed over a camp of three, heavily guarded houses. He could feel it, his young lady was in one of them.
He took a step forward and immediately activated an alarm, causing the closest guards to move towards him.

"Oh my." he sighed. "This might delay me for a short while."

Guards approached from all directions, pointing guns at Sebastian's chest.

"What the hell are you doing here?" shouted the guard who reached him first.

"My apologizes." Sebastian said. "I have come to fetch my young lady."

"The hell you are! Shoot him!!"

A flash of red, and every single guard lay on the ground, dead.

"I am sorry." Sebastian said and smiled. "But I cannot stay and play, I am on a tight schedule."

He stepped over the corpses and headed for the largest of the houses.

My, little Phantomhive, have you been crying?"

James was back in the room, sitting on his chair. Ciel looked away.

"I have not, I am simply tired." she frowned.

James laughed and tilted his head to the right.

"Do you need to make excuses?" he giggled.

"Do you need a live?"

James' smile disappeared. He stood up and was about to say something when the door flew open.

"Oi, boss." the woman guarding the door stepped in. "None of the other guards are responding and the southern alarm has been triggered."

Ciel's eyes widened. She turned her eyes to the empty hallway and waited.

"Shit!" James growled. "And no one knows anything?"

He looked at Ciel and back.

"You come in here, give me one of your guns and let's wait."

The woman tossed James one of her guns and closed the door.
Ciel started smiling, she could not help it.

"What're you grinning about, Phantomhive!?" James snarled.

"You are both going to die very soon." Ciel's smile widened.

"What did you sa--"

"Ssssch!"

The woman quieted James and pointed to the door. James pointed his gun at Ciel, who was staring at the door-handle. All three could hear the sound of heels hitting the floor. The door opened with a creak, revealing Ciel Phantomhive's butler, Sebastian.

"Pardon my intrusion." he said and bowed. "But I have come to fetch my young lady."

James seemed out of words, but the woman pointer her gun at Sebastian, who smiled.

"I'd rather you not do that." he said. "I prefer not to fight women."

"You took your time, Sebastian."

Ciel ignored the gun which was pointed to her face, and slowly sat up.

"My, young lady." Sebastian's smile softened. "We should get you back to the manor immediately, to get you properly treated."

"Mmh."

Ciel attempted to stand up, but James grabbed her wrist and pulled her back down.

"I don't think you're going anywhere, little Phantomhive." he snarled. "Vanessa, kill the other!"

Vanessa's guns clicked as she made ready to fire them. Sebastian sighed, but before he could speak, he received five five gunshots in the chest. Not falling backwards, he only leaned to the wall.

"Oh my, oh my..." he sighed, looking down as his blood colored his suit red.

Sebastian moved his hand over his chest, easily removing every bullet.

"I'll be returning these." he smirked.

He tossed the bullets into the air, and they pierced Vanessa's body, as if they were shot from a canon.

"Now then..." Sebastian turned to James, who looked mortified, and Ciel, who clearly seemed irritated. "Shall we return home, young lady?"

"Yes." Ciel sighed. "Execute the other one and let us go."

James backed away as Sebastian started approaching him.

"No..." he hissed and covered his face with his arms.

Sebastian stopped. He noticed the bite-marks on James' hand and chuckled.

"Quite the desperate method, to bite, would you not say, young lady?" he smirked.

Ciel frowned.

"Finish him, Sebastian." she said. "It's an order."

"Yes, my lady."

Sebastian was running, holding Ciel in his arms. He ran under silence, and when they reached the edge of the forest, he stopped.

"Is there anything bothering you, my lady?" he asked and looked down at Ciel.

Ciel hesitated. Revealing her despair for a demon...

"...I thought you wouldn't come..." she whispered, and covered her right eye with her hand. "Even with..."

She didn't finish her sentence and looked away. Sebastian wasn't used to seeing this weak side of his usually strong young lady. Smiling, he gently pulled her closer into an embrace.

"I will always come for you." he whispered. "With..." he removed Ciel's hand from her right eye. "Or without the covenant."

He smiled at her and placed his lips on the back of her Ciel's hand.
When Sebastian started moving again, Ciel moved her hands around his neck to hold on properly, and placed her head on his shoulder.

"With... or without."
