About: Lyra used to be an energetic and happy child whose father loved her dearly. On her seventh birthday, her dad passed away in an accident which occurred after her and her father got in a fight. Her mother had passed from complications during childbirth (which she blames herself for) and her mom's side of the family disapproved of the marriage and wanted nothing to do with Lyra so she was left to take care of herself. Plus, this way they would get control of the Nightingale Estate until she turned 18.
Lyra ran away and lived on the streets for years, getting good at stealing and being on her own. One day she was in the wrong place at the wrong time and had to defend herself which resulted in a couple of casualties. A man present, who happened to be a boss in an underground crime syndicate, was impressed on how Lyra handled herself so he decided to take her in and teach her the ropes. Years passed by and she became his second in command. She's an amazing spy but an even more amazing sharpshooter.
During an undercover mission where she was sent back to her hometown to gather some information, she had to take her place back as head of the Estate. There she ended up hiring a man who she punched in the face on her first day back as her assistant for all that came with being head of the Estate. She and Gabriel Lockhart worked side by side for the few years and grew rather close, a lot closer than Lyra had wanted (she wanted to get the job done and leave and never come back). She ended up falling in love with him (though she denied it for a long time) and he with her. After the job was done, she decided to stay as head of the Estate happily with Gabriel by her side, much to the chagrin of her estranged family. She still does a job here or there for the boss, but as the boss came to see her as a daughter, he wanted her to be happy.

Personality: Lyra is a stoic individual who keeps all her emotions in check; some people say she doesn’t have emotions and call her an Ice Queen. She does, but she is extremely selective on who can see them. It took her about a year and a half to open up to Gabriel, her assistant, and even then, it wasn’t much. She’s afraid to open up and let someone completely in since everyone she has loved has passed away. Because of this, she has a really difficult time making friends (she claims that she doesn’t need them out of stubbornness but she does feel left out when she sees people being friendly with each other). All Lyra knows how to do is be professional, she knows next to nothing about being neighborly, but after officially getting together with Gabriel, she tries hard to fit in with “normal people”. She is extremely stubborn and has a competitive streak a mile wide. She is quite the cunning lady who isn’t shy when it comes to getting things to go her way.
