Naming change:

Aside from Benwolf being just a placeholder, When Omniverse finally provided names to these aliens, DJW admitted himself that BlitzWolfer was originally just a joke name as well, but when nobody could come up with a better name, it ended up sticking. I would argue (as well as many other fans) they could've just stuck with Blitz Wolf and it would've been cool, not necessarily clever like most Ben 10 alien names, but passable nonetheless.. but having an alien named after a real life reporter with his own political views, and a person we don't fundamentally know not only makes the name risky, but rather.. uncool.. taking away from the alien's uniqueness. Even Way Big was called Way Big, not Ultraman. But at the same time you can't blame DJW or the creators. Me and my friends spent AGES debating a better name.. There just aren't really any cool pun names based on wolves that also acknowledge his howling abilities.

We almost decided Blitz Wolf, as it would've still been familiar to our readers and Ben 10 Fans, while not using a nonexistent word "Wolfer" or treating it as "Wolfer" aka, the verb for "Eating food fast" which would make this alien sound like his power is the ability to devour things at lightning speed.

However, after reading this alien's wiki page where it said "The word blitz also comes from his sonic howls being able to blitz through his enemies." We got pissed.

That was the most BULLSHIT explanation we have EVER seen in our lives. Since when does blitz have ANYTHING to do with SONIC HOWLS!? Its most common association is with lightning (Blitzkrieg) and a military formation commonly used to defeat opponents in 4 moves in chess! WTF does that have to do.. WITH SOUND ATTACKS!? It sounded more like a dumb excuse if anything (no disrespect to whoever wrote that wiki page, but just leave it with the Wolf Blitzer explanation and leave it at that!)

That pissed us off so much that we went with our second choice: FenRoar, which is a play on Fenrir, the mythological wolf from Norse Mythology, and Roar, another take on "Howl" and frankly a beastly sounding word which fits.

INFORMATION.

FenRoar is a Loboan from the the moon Luna Lobo in the Anur System. A powerful predator much like Wildmutt and with similar abilities regarding agility, metal tearing claws and powerful jaws, FenRoar sets himself apart from Wildmutt with his powerful sonic howl, which can cause significant damage to opponents. By splitting his jaws apart and retracting his tongue, he primes himself to fire a powerful super sonic wave combined with Ethereal Energy absorbed from the atmosphere, giving the sonic blasts a colored look (in Ben's case, Green).

FenRoar is also capable of enhanced hearing and smell, much like a typical wolf, though not as capable of tracking as Wildmutt, he is efficient enough in determining smells that he can even track scents in places where multiple different scents merge together like a city.

FenRoar is first used during the Dark Menu arch of MHA Rise of Ben 10, when he is unlocked for the first time, and used to battle against Biowulf.

Trivia:

-Kyoka Jiro is the first person in 1A to have more than one Omnikix Suit. One is Ultimate Echo Echo's while the other is FenRoar.

-Asui thinks FenRoar is cute.

-Denki is the one who first coins the name Benwulf, spelt with a u, trying to make it a pun off Beowulf. Rachel however points out that the name definitely sounds very much like a placeholder. Denki then tries to go for Wolf Blitzer which causes too many sniggers to take seriously.

- Tokoyami is the one who comes up with the name FenRoar in the end, being a fan of a dark horror novel involving a werewolf named Fenrir.

-Snare-Oh will appear, however Frankenstrike is still debatable as we already have enough electric aliens planned.

-As seen with Diamondhead's MHA suit as well as the clothing of some of the other aliens, their clothes have nothing to do with whatever Ben is wearing, the Omnitrix makes its own clothing based on the Aliens. However out of world, FenRoar's MHA outfit color scheme is paying tribute to the Omniverse styles of alien outfits.
