I like her hair in concept art, but not on her 3d model
Although i don't really think it's the problem in hair model, her face on 3d model is more of a problem, and new hairstyle just expressed it more

I agree with you about it looking better in concept art -- I think that's because the art usually has much more wave and movement to it. In the show, it just sorta hangs there.
