I'm going to do chibis of just about everyone in Lord of the Rings that I can think of
right now I've got the elves
I used the movie costumes as models for all of them exept for the twins... since they don't show up in the movie. for them I used basic elven clothes, sorta based off the outfits that bri-chan drew them in, hope you don't mind me using it as a model. I don't draw too well without something to go by.

Elrohir and Elladan: wonder twin powers activate!
okay. please don't shoot me. I couldn't resist making this joke
I like the way their hair turned out, and you gotta admit that they look very huggable as chibis

Celeborn: "i don't care that a dwarf has a crush on my wife."
I laughed so hard at Celeborn in the movie. He was all emotionless, almost like he was stoned or something... okay, I exaggerate a bit. Still though, I thought, 'dude, gimli is totally hitting on Galadriel, doesn't he care?' Apparently not. i was thinking of making a father/son in-law joke with Elrond, but i couldn't think of anything. O well

Elrond: "why do those annoying hobbits have to continually question my age?"
I've always pictured Elrond as a very easy to irritate person... so then curious hobbits, much like small children, would go 'wow, a real elf. you're really tall, how old are you? do you not eat a lot, cause elves are skinny? are you sure about you're age' Basically endless questions that would go on and on, enough to bother any sane person. I think our Halfelven is very funny looking pissed off. i had a hard time with his hair, but i guess it turned out alright.

Arwen: she's blushing and thinking "Aragorn is looking this way."
She has big eyes, so i figured I'd make her an embarassed teenager, cause i suppose she's kinda young... for an elf that is

Galadriel: "Hee hee! Gimli is such a cute little dwarf!"
come on, who doesn't like gimli? It's a funny little man who's wasted on cross country. Galadriel likes to smile a lot... when she's not being serious, and I think she was very flattered by gimli's speech about using her hair as an heirloom to his family.

Haldir: The art of rope-walking
wow, lothlorien elves wear a lot of gray. Haldir's cool, and I didn't like that they killed him off in the movie. I didn't know what to draw him doing, and then I remembered how he and his two brothers crossed the river walking on a rope, and i figured "wow, i could picture him discussing the art of walking on a rope." sooo, this is the result.

Legolas: he looks funny sobbing. "I lost to the dwarf by one."
I like the way they did the helms deep final count of orcs in the extended edition movie better than i did the movie. In the book legolas was all 'o, you beat me by one.' and that was it. i'm sure he was just happy that his friend was alive, but i figured he'd at least show some emotion. I laughed at the whole "he was already dead." "he was twitching." thing, but i also pictured him being very frustrated. I mean really, legolas had a bow. I'm sure he would run out of arrows sooner or later, but he was shooting before gimli even started. he should have blown his score away. that's gotta suck. but alas, i love making him look sad, i think i'm just amused by all chibi pictures in general

wow... i wrote a lot on that... i just kinda started and ran away explaining everything in detail, which im afraid i do way too often.

i'll get started on the rest of the characters later, i think i'll do the hobbits next.
