thrush always loved misa but never had a change to confess his feelings
when misa got old (almost as an elder from warriors but not yet) Moonpool was ignoring her so he could lead his cats, so thrush spent all his time with misa, you know, as 2 cute elders together :3 
So MoonPool faked his death making it look like thrush got killed by a fox
