Poor Moonjumper was removed from the final version of A Hat in Time.ΒLuckily, MischeviousMalfais is here to draw the poor guy!
Snatcher's explanation actually seems surprisingly reasonable. The Badge seller looks like a much fatter version of Moonjumper (but with feet. And, you know, other things.)

I think the biggest problem is that they really did replace Moonskippy with Snatcher as far as story goes.

All I know is that I've flown to the moon from Hat Kid's spaceship (using action commands) and there are definitely moon penguins inside the buildings there.
