Karas is one of my fave anime series. And damn you just captured the mech gore and dark atmosphere I liked about it.

oh ok. Thanks for the info. Just for curiosity sake, you're using photoshop in digital painting right? What's the best brush type to use in painting and how much opacity and flow are better for blending colors?
I've only been using soft and hard round brushes which sometimes make my colors look messy. I use 50% opacity and 50% flow.

No problem. I don't think it's the brush so much as the sensitivity setting to your stylus/tablet. If sensitivity couldn't be helped, try selecting the resulting color from your blending for your brush. Wait, that didn't make sense. Um, let's say you blend red + blue. You get purple. Use purple and then blend it with the red. Then with the blue. Then use the resulting colors to blend with the purple. Sort of like that. Or you could start with a black and white image first--that helps put clearer value and you wouldn't have to worry with blending.
Blending takes effort and diligence; it's always been a problem for me as well. Hope that helps.

I don't have a software on the tablet that I'm using so sensitivity is off. blending and mixing are really a pain in the arse sometimes. I usually burn hours to color the drawings.
So, the opacity and flow are at 100% then?

50% should be okay if you feel your tablet isn't very sensitive, but you can always try a softer brush with less opacity if you feel you can't really blend well.

I feel the blood could use a bit more work; it doesn't quite look like fresh blood, but as if it's been on fabric for quite a bit. Not quite dry, but not fresh.
