I do not know whether you have heard about the terrible murders here in Belgium. Some guy stabbed babies in a crèche (psychosis is the most probable explanation). Anyway he is called 'Kim de Gelder' and the media jumped on this tragic event and made it a big sensational story (which btw was completely wrong). About it being an anagram on 'Ledger' who was the Joker and how he entered the building with 'I have a question' (apparently the Joker did too), he was presumably wearing make up, like the Joker did etc. etc.
At the same time we aren't supposed to talk about death and the dead in regular life as it reminds us of our mortality or the hurt it causes, even though death is present every day and quite a natural thing.
I guess it has a double meaning. So sure in a way it is about the joker, but not quite as one probably assumes it to be.

Ik had hetzelfde probleem
Ik had me ook zo geshminkt met zwarte ogen en een rode mond met bloed en ik moest het weg wassen van de directie omdat ik te hard op de joker leek >.<

tijdens de shoot kwam iemand zelfs vragen of het te maken had met de moorden in Dendermonde. Ik had er nog niets eens aangedacht, komt men plots commentaar leveren over hoe het onderwerp gevoelig ligt.
De Gelder heeft niet eens met Ledger te maken -_-

well he is responsible for his actions etc. and he really is sick, mentally that is. He cannot help it that he has this personality disorder, and it does not make him less human. I am not making up excuses for him, I just think that people should remind themselves of this more often ^^
anyway it is a terrible thing, murder... it truly is.

Yes, i heard something about that the other day, about the murder of 2 babys in Dendermonde (right?).
It so sad and horrible to know, watch, hear about this kind of things. But its more aweful how the mediaΒ‘ creates a show of this.
And yeah, we live arround the death everyday even if we dont (like) talk about it.
