And yep it's mostly pencil, and charcoal for the really dark bits on the mane and ears. I also used a really smooth bistal board to draw it on so it made the blending alot easier as well I think.

I know it's a crappy picture, but it was taking with a crappy camera. I'm still waiting on a friend who said they'd do a high quality scan of this for me, and so hopefully that version should be up soon. hopefully...

That's amazing! What medium is it in? Ink or marker?
Your shading is perfect, good job on capturing all the lines and shape of a horses face. The bridles provide a good focal point as well as a contrast to the manes.

um well this is neither ink or marker. It's actually done in pencil! This picture took me so long to do the face's, like I spent and hour on one part of the eye . But anyways I'm glad you liked it and thanks so much for the fav!
