Description
"ZEITGEIST" = The Spirit of the Time.Hand-drawn with various pencils.
Shading done with shading sticks.
I don't remember how long it took to do.

First heard it from the Smashing Pumpkins album. Found out what it meant from, lame as it may be, a puzzle magazine which had a word trivia quiz where you had to guess the meanings of certain words. 
I do want to colour it, but I'm not sure what I should colour it as. Any suggestions?

Do some prints on a strong paper and figure it out with some color-pencils and watercolor. I see some brown-tones in the background and some shiny colors in the figure.

Hm that's a good idea. I usually do my colour work on Photoshop, but I'll try out your suggestion.

Could be faster to do it in PS or to do some color-sketches on a multiplying layer, but as hand-drawing with some inks, color-pencils and watercolor it will be a beautiful original in the end.

I agree. I do need more practice colouring with traditional media after all. I'm currently in the process of colouring a drawing I did. I'm stuck on the incredibly detailed wings and it's REALLY hard! I'm using watercolour pencils so after I finish the tedious pencil colouring, I have to go over it with a brush! It's something new and challenging though, so I think it's pretty fun.

If you are working with watercolorpencils take a very fine No 00 brush beside and some water that helps at the details. Use the water in between not only at the end.It is very nice to work with watersolvent and nonsolvent pencils together, structures made by waterproofed pencils will be kept when working it over with water.

Yeah I figured that out. I started painting over part of the wings with the brush and messed up, so I went over it again with the pencil and it actually turned out really rich and smooth.

Sorry if it seems like a bunch of restrictions, but I don't want people to start thinking that they can do whatever they want with my work. I once had a girl on here manipulate one of my photos without asking my permission, thinking it was like a stock photo, and I don't want stuff like that to happen again. Also, I'm planning to put this original in an exhibition of my work.
