Description
They can't spend their lives together but they can promise each other one thing. They can promise to spend every sunset embracing on the shoreline, where their two worlds merge.This took longer then i wanted but it was the first time i painted water. It was really fun trying to figure out how to do this. It was nice seeing this picture come from nothing- in front of my eyes. I saved my progress steps in jpgs, so i will probably post a little flash animation to show you what it was to create this.

This is so pretty! You did a wicked job on the water, I can't believe it was your first time painting it! I'm jealous lol! I love the detail you put in on the rocks under the water layer. And the sunset lighting is absolutely beautiful, especially in the reflection on the water. The characters look so sweet together. Sort of a bitter sweet story, but more sweet. I think you depicted it so well. The girl's expression is so serene looking. I wish I was there. Though I'd probably ruin the mood for these two lol! Great work, keep it up!

I think this is probably one of my favorite works of yours so far! Everything is colored so beautifully - the water, the rocks, her tail.. great job fading that from green to yellow. It looks so shiny and wet. I also love the golden lighting from the sunset.. really nice effect on the turtle and everything, really..
And someone mentioned this but the character designs are awesome too. I especially love the tattoo on the pirate's back

the character designs and the expressions are wonderful~
because of that - and also because of the gorgeous, lively colors - this pic emits a very warm and peaceful feeling.
my only criticism would be that the guys upper thighs seem to be a bit too long, although its well hidden behind the mermaids body

I kinda agree with you on the legs - when i look at them i know some things can be fixed

Trying to figure out how to paint something new is always the most fun! though aggrivating sometimes. I love the turtle and the tatoo on the mans back. A very cute and inviting picture, they seem so happy
