So pieceful and beautiful. I am actually going to Japan this autumn and I am truly looking forward to experience the huge difference in these harmonic places, and the loud city-life
You sure took some wonderful pictures in Japan!

Yeah, I think it´s wonderful that you can visit shrines/temples while you´re in the big cities! That´s a nice break from all the noise and rush, right?
I haven´t planned my trip yet, but Tokyo is of course one of the places to visit. And hopefully Osaka, and Kyoto too. I am going to talk with my travel-agency next week, to find a suitable trip
And you are very welcome! You take wonderful pictures!

ya! not all areas have temples right in the heart of the big cities, a lot do. some you can find on accident, just by wandering around. tokyo is great! when you go, there are some things that i highly recommend you bringing with you. osaka is wonderful too. kyoto is a place of its own - there is downtown kyoto, which looks like tokyo - then further out are very old sites the best way is to land in tokyo (actually narita, outside of tokyo) and take a bullet train to osaka and kyoto.

Ah yes, and I am sure I´ll love the contrasts.
Of course Tokyo is my biggest goal, since I´m enjoying to shop manga, and also going to meet a friend of mine. We´re going to train kendo together. I´m sure it´ll be fun.
You said "there are some things that i highly recommend you bringing with you" what do you mean by that?

Yes thanks. I´m eager to see which trip it´ll be. It doesn´t really matter where in Japan, as long as I can enjoy the culture, and practice my speaking/reading.

there are some books and such that make things a lot easier - especially the tokyo subway. check out akihabara if you are into manga in tokyo. make sure you shop around and get prices before you buy anything there. (some stores are cheaper than others)

Ah yes, I know that but thanks! ^^
I have a great guidebook, with a complete bullet-train guide, and I am also used to buy manga from several places. Mostly import, so I have great knowlegde in prices.
Also a good thing that I can read/speak some Japanese. That´ll help me a lot when I´m there.

Even if you are not fluent, people will try their hardest to help you plus, when i was struggling with my luggage (many train and subway stations still just have steps going to the other platform) - old ladies ran towards me and would help me with my luggage so nice
