I love the way that almost all of the picture has its own little meaning, everything from the ladder to the arrows and the numbers.

wow... this is a very interesting piece in its subject matter. i think you pulled it all together nicely as an artistic piece. i like the colors you chose. what reference if any did you draw the guy from?

It was orginally just a really crappy jpg from the web.

Interesting. Looks almost like a kind of train ticket. Good clarity, complex but kind to the eye.

i had to do a similar poster for my college work, except in two colours. i kinda cheated and ended up doing 4 colour, but never mind!
i love the expression on the stockbroker's face; it's one of utter despair...i really like the fact that you chose to do something that was quite unstereotypical - ie using a stockbroker and the imagery associated with his profession - rather than sticking with what is considered as being 'standard'. the inclusion of a name and a profession gives the whole advertisment more weight, adding the human element to a design always adds a little more effectiveness to the overal concept.
the stark simplicity of the piece - bold, stong colours and lines - really does it for me, especially the use of the dotted line (tickertape presumably?) and the typography floating above his head. out of curiosity is that a font you've deconstructed or a 'standard' typeface used without alteration?
the only niggly thing about this piece (and it may well be this machine's display, but i'm not sure) is the irregular white line running around the edge of the design - it's not an equal width and at one point is inside of the black border. that for me adds a little element of a printing error; as if it was screenprinted...and for that reason i can't decide whether i like it or not. anyway, i think i'll add it to my favourites because it's the most imaginative thing i've seen all day, hence my rather long comment.

Listen thank you for the comments..
The font was simply called typewriterough.
I played around with it in illustator that is i kept the stroke and took out the fill after creating outlines, then i pumped up the stroke a bit it made it look like it was bleeding a bit more.
Its not a screen print..its my sloppy cropping....which i shall fix
