The next few moments had passed by in a blur.

One moment you were holding the freckled boy in your hand as he collected himself and then suddenly someone had screamed in terror, your face turning to towards them as a horde of humans came into view. The human in your grip smiled at the sight of the collection of humans, his hazel eyes trained on another boy with two-toned hair and a face that reminded you distinctly of a horse.

Moving towards them, they all scrambled backwards and the horse-faced male paled as he spotted the freckled male in your palm. His slanted eyes widened and you noticed tears collecting on the edges of them, thoroughly confusing you as you knelt down and reached your hand out with the human in it. Placing it on the ground, the freckled human ran out and launched himself at horsie with open arms. The small reunion had made you let out a gruff sound similar to purr of happiness at the display of affection, the two humans hugging eachother tightly as freckles twirled horsie around.

Note: As you couldn’t speak with the lack of using your vocals, you showed your emotions with actions, whimpers, growls and purrs.

You made a move to get up and leave but a sudden piercing pain caught you off-guard. Thousands of arrow-like weapons started to pierce through your skin and muscles with strong metal ropes attached to the ends. Your eyes widened in terror and you pulled against the agonising force to cover your neck as a sort of metal cover was thrown over your body with sharp points to stick you to the ground. The aim of the cover was slightly off-point but you decided against struggling as to not harm any surviving humans, your body soon pinned onto the cobble-stoned surface and your face looking to the left as you didn’t want to have yourself face-planted into the hard ground.

Note: Now with your mission of protecting the humans, you had decided against any resistance against them.

Once everything settled, you noted the overwhelming silence that weighed over your shoulders like thousand-ton bricks. Your (e/c) orbs remained half-lidded as a human appeared from the settling dust with several other members of their organisation. The male had blonde hair swept back with blue eyes that seemed to bore through your own, his eyebrows overly large and a stern expression covering his face. You looked over at the other humans and noted that there was a man with greyish hair with a thin beard and moustache, a female with pretty hair that fell to her shoulders and a cautious expression printed onto her face, a man that looked rather constipated and a had mop of blond-ish hair on his head, another male with black hair styled to point up and a man with blonde hair pulled into a sort-of ponytail with a beard of some sort on his chin.

Note: Being of your observant nature, you often kept a clear image of any potential threats or humans for future references.

“So, we finally meet.” You looked back at the blonde-haired man with eyebrows as he stared at you with a cold look frozen across his face.

A soft groan escaped your mouth as reply and you tried to move as your muscles were beginning to heal themselves whilst the arrows were still in place.

“NUUUUHHH, ERWIN HOW COULD YOU?! NOT MY BABY!” The man, now known as Erwin, seemed to jump slightly at the loud interruption of the silence in the area as a female figure raced towards the lot of the humans.

“For fucks sakes Shitty glasses, contain yourself.” Another man grumbled as a short-statured male entered your vision with the red-headed female from before. You let a purr at the sight of her and she shoved Erwin to the side, not that you were objecting. Her hands immediately started to stroke your face and ruffle your hair as she stared at you with wonder with her large brown eyes behind her thick-rimmed glasses.

“Awwwe, mah poor baby! Men, release this titan pleassseeee~”

Your eyes widened at her words and a loud uproar formed as more humans suddenly entered your vision. All of their small forms surrounding you made you squirm in discomfort as fear made you worry that you were going to squish them if you moved a muscle, especially as their loud noise and shouts made your breathing quicken for some reason.

Note: You had lacked any real communication for years and with so much going on around you, everything started to overwhelm you.

“Stah-hhpp. Plea-asee.”

Everyone immediately quietened as a tear slipped from your eye and your back arched in agony, your words barely coherent as they wavered and sounded extremely gruff compared to anyone else’s voice.

“D-Did it just TALK?” The pretty girl from earlier suddenly shrieked and you watched as everyone surrounding you froze in shock besides the red-headed woman in front of your face.

“OH MY GOD, THIS IS GOING TO MAKE SCIENCE HISTORY!~” She yelled in joy and suddenly clasped your cheek with both hands, “Can you say Hanji? Haaannnn-jiiiiiii~ Like that!”

Erwin cut in before you could even attempt to please the woman and placed a hand on her shoulder, “Hanji, step away from that beast. I doesn’t matter it spo-”

“Haan-nnnjjj-iie.”

You watched as the woman began to shriek and jump around in excitement, “HE SPOKE. HE SAID MY NAME! WE CAN COMMUNICATE!~” Her excitement made her hug your face and you found yourself nuzzling her back whilst a happy whimper escaped your mouth.

Note: Some acts of communication made you act like a lost puppy as you were very open to affection besides being of your race.

“Huh. Who knew Hanji’s first boyfriend would be a Titan?” A random member of the audience questioned.

Shortie then raised his hand as Hanji glanced over at him, “I did.”

“… Shut up Shortstack.”

Being transported to the humans’ base after the whole experience of you talking to them, was not an enjoyable experience. Being tied up with multiple sharp items poked into your muscles and then having to have them ripped out with not-so gentle movements so you could walk was not fun. Especially as most of the humans wanted to get away from you as fast as they could, making them pull out the arrows with too much force and sometimes ripping out parts of your muscles. This usually got them shouted at by Hanji or shortstack, who you now knew as Levi, when they saw the steam rising from your injury.

After possibly two hours, the last arrow was removed and you sat up slowly as your (h/c) flopped over your (left/right) eye. Everyone moved away as you climbed onto your knees and stretched your arms besides the pain that movement made. You slowly stood up and shook your head, shaking the hair away from your eyes and letting you see the view much better.

On the walls there stood dozens of humans in their gear ready to strike if you made any sign you were going to attack and some also stood on rooftops, whilst many stood in a circle around your feet- luckily there was around 20 metres separating you from the nearest human- besides Hanji, who stood nearly right under you as she gazed up at you with clear awe shown across her features.

“Oohhh, you are so much more magnificent when you are standing!~” She screamed girlishly and you failed to fight the blush on the little skin you had under your eyes and across the bridge of your nose. This made Hanji giggle like a mad scientist once again as she clasped her hands together that resonated a loud clap and suddenly a gasp escaped her pink lips.

“Hey, Observy?~”

Observy? Was that what she’s going to refer to you know as you are ‘the Observant Titan’.

Note: It’s not like you objected the nickname. *smirks*

You looked down at Hanji, to show she had caught your attention. Then slowly you lowered to your knees, as not to alarm her, though you were sure she wasn’t scared at all as she grinned like a mad woman.

“Could you carry me? I’d LOVE to see what the world looks like from your view!~” She laughed and you couldn’t say no. There was something about Hanji that made you want to please her no matter what the cause was.

Letting out a hum of confirmation, you let her climb onto your hand and raised her to your shoulder, where she scrambled onto the wide surface and fiddled with your hair until she sat down right next to your ear.

“Huehuehue, this is so fascinating! And I can lead you to base from here. Onwards my dear Titan!~” She yelled and you started walking towards the base by her directions, being especially careful not to step on anyone.

What an eventful week you were having.

“A long, long time ago, there was a tribe who ate people. They weren’t Titans like you. They were humans. They hid out in caves in the mountains and attacked travellers who happened to tread the roads nearby, robbed them of their valuables, killed them, and ate their flesh.”

As soon as you had gotten to Hanji’s base, you had been tied down by ropes across your legs but had been allowed to be propped up against a wall as Hanji had requested. Speaking of Hanji, she was currently doing this thing that the other human’s had called a ‘Naming Ceremony.’

“They kept up their resistance for 25 years. During that time, 500 people became their prey. I bet that’s more humans than you’ve eaten. They also experimented with various ways of preparing their meals.”

The story was telling wasn’t very pleasant and you didn’t really want to hear the rest of it but it was definitely intriguing.

“Turning their buttocks into steaks. Cutting their thighs up into cubes and cooking a stew with them. They minced, kneaded and fried the hard meat. Out of fats and innards, they even made sausages.”

Ok, scratch that. You felt sick and you couldn’t even throw up!

Note: As you had never eaten a human, you had never thrown up their remains so this was a new sensation for you.

“That’s right. They knew the concept of “cooking”. That’s how they were different to your kind.”

Hanji suddenly turned in your direction and walked in your direction as she continued to speak.

“But then those cannibals made a mistake, and they were all caught and executed. That’s the same as you. Your brethren made the mistake of attacking mankind, and you were brought here.”

You tilted your head and furrowed your (h/c) eyebrows at Hanji’s words but she continued to talk besides her inner fangirling at your cuteness.

“But don’t worry, I won’t have you executed as you have no need to hurt or eat us. Instead you pledged to help us in our fight to save humanity, and so I’ve decided to name you.”

This made your ears perk up and your eyes widened as you leant forward in anticipation. You had never had a name, and if you did then you couldn’t remember it.

Note: You didn’t remember much, the first memory you ever had was waking up in a field and being surrounded some big-ass trees.

“With so a due, it’s nice to meet you… (M/N).”

(M/N). (M/N). You liked it!

You grinned at the name and let out a loud purr that made some of the on lookers tense up, mistaking it for a growl of hunger as they positioned their weapons. You froze at the intensity rising in the atmosphere but Hanji broke into laughter, making the other humans drop their weapons in confusion and the intensity dropped also.

“Well (M/N). I hope we continue to get along so well!”

You looked down at Hanji and smiled once again as your chest seemed to tighten. How come every time you look at her, she made you feel so…
