I haven't done a pageview pic in a while to thank viewers. This time it's a a different anime and a first for me. I managed to do this within two month's time, but I still gotta do those requests.

I always knew that Bleach was doing really well in Japan. My friend Shino-tenshi is so into the manga series. I'm not an avid fan myself, yet, but I do love the comedy and action and the oh-so-cool characters. By far my favorite characters have been Hitsugaya and Hinamori. They're just so cute.

I go for the yin-yang dynamic couple. Hinamori is dark-haired and brown-eyed, while Hitsugaya is white and blue. Her name and power imply the season of Spring, while his imply the season of winter.

Hinamori seems at first a gentle, delicate, and demure young lady, but hides a frighteningly powerful and darker side that justify her position as a vice-captain. She's like the sweetest little girl-next-door I've ever seen, but is easily inluenced by confusion and rage. She's not afraid to be so friendly and informal with Hitsugaya despite his ranks.

Hitsugaya comes off all cold and composed, and calculating. But I've seen how Hinamori seems to be the only one who brings out his inner warmth and caring side. He might consider her troublesome and aggravating, but at the same time he is constantly worrying about her; he teases her the most but with obvious good nature, and really looses his temper when she is hurt in any way and goes out of his way to protect her.

Now some fans think he should end up with Matsumoto-san, but no one can deny that these two share a bond, and no matter what, they'll always be very precious to each other. The history that these two have shared is probably why I'm so drawn to them as a couple.

I've portrayed the two looking quite young. I don't know what peach blossoms look like so I had to make do. Hinamori's first name is "peach" after all. She's looking all colorful and elegant in contrast to her black uniform. And of course I had to add Hitsugaya; I hope he's not too overpowered by Hinamori. I wanted it so the flower branch she's holding disappears into her kimono, and for cute effect, she's put some on Shiro-chan.

This took two months in between work and school. Entirely Illustator, but using origami kimono patterns from my very own collection. The border also uses a design print for a paper effect.

Absolutely no stealing now, please.
