I did check out this episode earlier today, but I'm still rather confused about why Jim Starling was leaving behind purple ink at the end. And why he went insane also felt questionable, since he did regain his sanity long enough to sacrifice himself. Perhaps the accident caused his mind to get twisted?

Thank you. It's loosely based on Negaduck's debut intro from the original "The Birth of Negaduck" episode.
Considering this was Negaduck's debut in 2017 Ducktales, I thought it was quite fitting.

Nice work on this one. I was happy of what they did on that episode, especially at the end of making Starling Nega Duck. Wonder if they plan to use that name if they show him again

I was soooooo upset at first to find that Jim Cummings won't be darkwing but after thinking about it it was pretty clever...I can't wait to see more of them. It'd be amazing if the episode meant a new spinoff series <3

I think all the fans were against the idea of anyone else voicing DW at first. But that episode was the most brilliant and beautiful passing of the torch ever. I can't possibly imagine a better way to do it. What must it have felt like for Jim to hand the reins over to Chris?

I knowwwww that's why I was so against what they did at first. Like Jim Cummings IS darkwing duck. But it made for some clever storytelling and he's still included in some type of way so im okay with it lol
