OK, not only do I love the mer in this, I adore the background most of all. The butterfly fish, the different types and textures of coral, the way the sunlight casts down on the sand, it seems so peaceful and amazing, so bright and vibrant

It reminds me of :iconAshe-Ryder:'s version of Javert from her comic Room Mates.  It's the hair, not to mention the facial expression and theme color for the dolphin-like tail.
