Description The cool grass felt strange under the young birman's tiny paws. She was used to this feeling, but now it felt oddly comfortable. Maybe it was because of the rush of adrenaline she was feeling as she snuck out of her Twolegs' nest for the last time. Her heart was racing and her mind was buzzing as she thought things over for the third time since she had awoken at the break of dawn. The emotions that flooded her almost knocked her off her paws as she tried to calm herself. It felt like all at once the regret and pain she would feel while being away from her family stuck her at the same time excitement and rebellious joy washed over her. Being as stubborn as she is, she pushed away the negative feelings and bounded toward the tall pale-wood fence that hid her soon-to-be new home. Her delicate white paws gently crushed the grass under them as she stopped a the base of the fence and tilted her head up, studying it for the last time. She felt oddly sentimental as she looked at the flaking boards of wood. A small smile crept on her face as she remembered the first time she had ventured outside with her siblings, and how they were all amazed by the tall picket fence, and how it protected them from the wildlife beyond it. A sigh of regret escaped her lips as Rarity bunched up her muscles and prepared for the jump. With one strong push, she leaped to the top of the fence, not even needing the claws that she was robbed of about a week ago. She quickly caught her balance as she placed all four of her white paws on the fence. For a heartbeat, she turned and looked at her Twolegs' nest, remembering all of the memories she had made. her shoulders slumped as she bowed her head. "Goodbye, Sugarfoot, Spooks," She mewed quietly, before turning to face the bright life-filled forest. She felt her heart skip with excitement as she straitened up, a smile growing on her muzzle. "Hello, forest."
