I wen to the Canadian Rockies in August on a photo tour.....Here are some dark clouds over the mountains with a light beam showing through.Related content

I love what happened there and it's great that you not only saw it, but you also captured it!
You have used a Nikon, I hope you're shooting in raw and if you do, you could have color graded it a lot better, bringing up that contrast, enhancing the colors, like the blue, the green and that orange-yellowish from the light.
Also, try to do a perspective corrections, it'll change your game!
So, go in lightroom and try:
- Contrast
- up the shadows
- up vibrance/saturations or use HSL to enhance each color as you prefer
- transform for perspective
- maybe crop it to the rule of thirds if you want to
