You shivered as you crawled out of your warm bed, throwing on your husband’s warm wool jumper over your tanktop. You tiptoed past the bed, hoping not to wake up your husband, but alas, he woke up anyway.

“__y/n__?” George asked sleepily. “Where are you going?” George sat up now, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

“It’s Christmas! I need to go get the house ready, your family’s going to be here soon.” You said cheerfully, moving once more to exit the room.

“__y/n__, I can get the house ready. You need to rest.” George said, crossing the room and wrapping his arms around your waist. His hands rubbed your stomach gently, taking note of the small bump.

“George, I’m pregnant, not dying. I’m fine.” You replied, removing his arms from around your waist and exiting the room. You crossed the hall, opening the door to check on your 5 year-old twins. Their two tiny beds were empty, and immediately you panicked, until you felt tiny arms wrap around your leg. You glanced down, to see your daughter Molly grinning up at you. You picked her up, turning around to see George holding your son Remus.

“Presents?” They asked hopefully, but you shook your head, smiling softly at them.

“Not yet sweeties, we need to wait for grandma and grandpa and Uncle Fred and Aunt Angelina and Uncle Charlie and-“

“They get it; we have a very large family.” George said, rolling his eyes at you. You smacked his arm playfully, before exiting the hallway and leading the way downstairs, passing through your living room to get to your kitchen.

“What do you guys want for breakfast?” You called from the kitchen, noting that was Molly sitting patiently at the table, while George and Remus were nowhere to be found. “What do you want for breakfast sweetie?” You asked, glancing at your daughter.

“Cinnamon rolls!” Your daughter said excitedly, bouncing slightly in her seat. You chuckled at her enthusiasm, grabbing your wand from one of the drawers and waving it around, the necessary ingredients flying out of from cupboards. You waved your wand once more, and the ingredients started to mix together into a bowl, before you exited the kitchen and entered the living room.

Wrapping paper littered the floor, and George and Remus stood in the center of the mess, looking up at you sheepishly.

“What did I tell you?” You asked tiredly, pinching the bridge of your nose.

“To wait…” They said, looking down in shame. You sighed, pointing to the kitchen; they understood immediately, grateful for the exit. With a wave of your wand, the presents rewrapped themselves, and floated back to their place underneath the tree.

You came back into the kitchen, and were relieved to see that the dough had been mixed, flattened, rolled into proper cinnamon rolls shapes, and were currently baking in the oven.

Just then, you heard several loud cracks, and then your in-laws came pouring into the kitchen through the living room.

“Hey kiddos!” Fred said happily, ruffling Molly’s and Remus’ orange hair. Fred winked at George when he took in your outfit, George’s G sweater from last Christmas and boxer shorts.

“Keep your eyes on your own wife!” George said, smacking Fred playfully. Angelina came in then, carrying her and Fred’s 3 year-old son, Arthur.

“Fred, dear, stop flirting with __y/n__ when I’m in the room.” Angelina said, Arthur giggling in her arms.

“Angelina!” You said excitedly, hurrying to embrace your friend and sister-in-law. She handed Arthur to Fred so she could hug you back, being careful to avoid your growing stomach. When you broke apart, you peered into the living room, seeing all of your family. Your own parents had died not too long ago, and it hurt to be celebrating without them, but you had this wonderful family now. George’s arms wrapped comfortingly around your waist as if he knew just what you were thinking, and you smiled, relaxing into his touch.

“Thanks grandma!” The twins said brightly, Molly pulling on her red M sweater and Remus pulling on his green R sweater. Molly then handed you a package, and you opened it to see a __f/c__ sweater with a G on it.

“I think this is George’s.” You said thoughtfully, moving to hand it to George, until Molly’s voice stopped you.

“No dear, you always seem to wear George’s instead of your own, so I thought this would be better.” Molly said, a slight teasing tone in her voice.

“Thanks.” You said quietly, a light pink blush covering your cheeks.

The rest of the presents were opened, the cinnamon rolls were all eaten, Christmas carols were sung, and eventually, everyone was gone. They had all gone back home and the twins were asleep upstairs, leaving just you and George in the living room. You were sharing your tiny loveseat, your legs draped lazily across his. Your, well, his, sweater kept slipping off your shoulder, causing George to trace tiny patterns on the bare skin.

You shivered as his fingers ghosted over the skin, his mouth lightly kissing your neck.

“You know, you look a lot better in that sweater than I do.” You opened your mouth to respond, but before you could, George spoke again.

“But you’d look a lot better with it off.”

“George! Tiny ears are in the room!” You exclaimed, your hands going down to your stomach in an attempt to block the sound from reaching your unborn baby’s ears.

“But __y/n__...” George whined, his teeth nibbling on your earlobe.

“Not tonight sweetie. Now come on, I’m tired.” You announced, crawling off his lap and standing up, offering him your hand. George whined once more, before standing up and, before you could even react, your sweater was off, leaving you in just your thin tanktop.

“How the hell did you even do that?” You asked incredulously.

“Spell.” George said with a shrug.

“Of course it was.” You sighed, your arms crossed as you exited the living room and walked up the stairs. As soon as you entered your and George’s room, you collapsed on the bed, George following shortly after you.
You curled into his side, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek before resting your head against his chest.

“Merry Christmas.” You mumbled tiredly, falling asleep almost instantly.

“Merry Christmas __y/n__.” George said softly, his arms snaking around your body, before he too fell asleep.
