I dun like it, but I'm hoping you will. 
Well, I struggled with nearly every aspect of this; the poses, the background etc, and no amount of references in the world could help me. Now there's just far too much for me to complain about, so I just won't bother this time around. Apart from these brief notes-
Sorry to all Maxi fans for his tragically disgusting appearance. Personally I've never had much of an interest in him myself, and in case you hadn't noticed; I- CAN'T DRAW-MEN. If the pictures so bad you don't have a clue what the hell's going on; Maxi beat Taki with a 'Ring Out.' That's all you need to know. Yes, that is supposed to be water Taki's about to free-fall into. Hard to believe isn't it?As usual, Advanced Critique/CC is GREATLY encouraged. Plus anyone who actually figured out who the hell these two were before you read this gets a cookie.

Taki!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She looks so awsome! Taki is my fave. character in that game.... Her and Kilik..... I have the second game and I need to get the third.. I had the first one on Dream Cast... but I dont anymore....

I love how the colors came out. And I hope Taki's outfit is waterproof, as I'd hate to have it shrink on her as soon as she gets out of the water.

Correct. I used references from a late issue, an early issue and lots of random official Soul Calibur art. Glad to see another Witchblade fan around here.

I never saw the TV series, I'm not even sure it was aired here in England, but I've heard and read the bad reviews.
Eurgh, I'd move! XD I can't live without my local Manga/Comic store.
If you ever do manage to find a place which sells them, check out 'Fathom' by Michael Turner (the artsist who created the early Witchblade issues, the best in my opinion.) It's differenmt, but brilliant all the same.

Okay, now that I've calmed down a bit, I can get to the advanced critique. *trying to stop grinning* Your coloring technique is gorgeous!! I soo need to learn that! This pic looks like a page straight out of a comic book!! I love the dynamics of this pic as well. *something else I also need to work on since all my chars look like they're posing* I think Maxi does look more mature here. He kinda reminds me of Wolverine a bit. LOL Taki looks more voluptuous than usual. I also love the look of the water and the rocks. I still think you can really do this for a living. You should take commissions!

I know how you feel about not taking comissions yet. I'm not up to taking them yet either because 1) I take such a long time, and 2) if I'm not feeling it, I give up sometimes. I hate things not turning out the way I want them too, but I've found that most ppl are happier with my art than me. I see you are the same way.

*nods* Exactly my point. My art teacher continuously pressures me into taking on further projects and going to Art College, and it's SO damn hard to politely tell someone you dislike where to shove their offers. 'Go forth and fornicate' and 'Sir, you're extracting the urine' just don't quite have the same effect as 'Go fuck yourself' and 'Are you taking the piss?' XD

I had a big argument with an art student online about a year ago who couldn't grasp that idea. She refused to understand why any person who loved to do art so much wouldn't want to go to college for it and make a living doing it for other people. *sigh* Some people just don't get it and never well.

*laughs* I'm constantly having fights with people who don't understand me. Only a few days ago I argued with a fellow Deviant because she'd wrote a rather offensive journal entry about how Artistic Nudity is all 'shit fucking porn.' *rolls eyes* XD It was one of the most pathetic debates I've been involved in as well. Rather than explain her beliefs to me intellectually, she simply replied with 'I don't give a shit what you think' and 'fuck you's' then deleted the journal.

How can someone be so offended by artistic nudity to the point where they feel the need to degrade it that bad. If you don't like it, don't support it but we weren't created with clothing already on, so what's the problem with nudity? It takes a lot of talent and/or confidence to do/be an artistic nude. Besides the human body is a magnificient creation and... um, ... I can go on and on so I'll shut up now. Sorry.
