Life’s Masquerade

Every word is a double edged sword.
Venom of the fiercest viper,
coated in the sweetest honey.
Glinting eyes behind masks of purest innocence.
Masks,
they hide the face and wrap lies in truths.
Behind them are sharp tongues which can stab a heart.
Or, with shrewd fickleness, cement a friendship
In this world that hides in deception,
where is our hope?
In this world that hides in the deepest darkness,
where is our saving grace?
Surely judgment will fall upon each and every one of us
But then again,
who are we to decided what judgment really is?
Who are we to judge?
We, as human beings, are the ultimate hypocrites.
Can we really determine right from wrong
through our own predetermined misconceptions?:
