This pleading prayer
brings me to my knees.
I know our memories
are hidden deep inside.
I know I could not please you
no matter how hard I tried.
You held my heart in your hand.
I gave you everything.,
Yet now I sit here all alone.
The silence, it does ring.
The years pass by and my life moves on.
Time; it will heal all.
Now I know my lesson is learned
and I will once more stand tall.
