Description So, I've finally finished reading Ningyou Kyuutei Gakudan, several months after the last volume had been released in english and I had bought it. I really did not want this manga to come to an end, because after I finished reading it, I was sure there was no other series capable of catching my attention to the same level - those were my thoughts seven months ago. New Kaori Yuki series, Iiki no ki, failed to entertain me, so I couldn't help but believe that I would pass at least two or three years (the minimum amount of time for Yuki-sensei to finish this series) without a series that could amaze me. But then I discovered Are you Alice? and Makai Ouji, which don't have such an addictive plot as NKG, but that are still awesome. And since my vacations will end this week, yesterday night I started reading the last chapter of NKG, prepared to the worst.

<---Beware of spoilers--->

I was like 100% sure that the end will be a dejavu of GodChild: only Eles would survive (like Merryweather did) and all the other main characters would have a heartbreaking death. But surprisingly, I was totally wrong. Almost everybody survived, even some of the "villains" - the inverted commas are requisite, since in Kaori Yuki series there are not really good guys or bad guys, just people who suffered during their entire life, and ended up or overcoming their frustrations or being eaten up by their dark past. I'm so happy by how the things ended, and even more because Yuki-sensei clarified all the points of the plot that didn't really make sense on this last chapter. I was very disappointed with the penult chapter, because it seemed rushed and failed to create the right atmosphere for the end of the series, but the last chapter totally made up for it.

<---End of spoilers--->

All in all, this series is among the best Yuki-sensei created, along with GodChild, Ludwig Kakumei and BloodHound. And it's also one of the best manga I've read, I got stuck with its marvelous story from beginning to end. For those who haven't read it, do it! You will not repent.

Ludwig Kakumei is a marvelous series, and sadly a very short one, just like NKG. I'm excited with the possibility of new chapters, but I hope that the one or ones that will come (if they will come, cause we know how unpredictable is Yuki-sensei) would be better than Ludwig Fantasia, which really disappointed me - I mean, I want a story that revolves around Lui and Lui only, I don't need any little bother to show up and be the center of attention.

Yeah a Lui story would be great but since his journey is to find a princess she most likely will stay on track >>; maybe she'll do an extra chapter??
