Here is a drawing I did using a stock photo reference from She's got a great stock
It took me about 2 hours, using my Wacom tablet.
The most difficult part was to choose the background, I thought of a full-red background, which was interesting because the face looked more intense with that bg color. But then I thought this was a little bit aggressive, and then I changed it to soft blue. Oh, and I like the hair and make-up !!
I'm looking forward to your comments, as I'm quite proud of this one

I really love the hair and the lips, the proportions are great. I would just suggest on making the skin look more 3 dimensional and human, and this would be beautiful. Good work, though.
2 hours is also a short time span, and I think with a few more hours' work, this would be so much better.

Awesome. I'm glad that you're giving a new medium the time of day. If you do well with hand crafting, I think that you'll have the basis for computer animation. That's great for 2 hours worth of your first picture, also. Veddy gud. <3

Thank you very much. I totally agree with you. This pic was my first digital painting portrait and I didn't have the patience and the skills to work more in the details. I was thinking about working on it again now, but it's a poor resolution and I prefer spending time on some new pieces for the moment...

It's awesome, but wat does the red dot mean? Did blood from something above drip on her, and she was too deeply away to notice?

The red dots can be whatever you imagine
Initially, I drew them to be part of her make-up, to add a japanese touch to the artwork.
