When I was sketching this, it was jaw-dropping amazing (for me at least). Then...I dunno. It had lost it's amazing-ness by the time I was done coloring. Still, I do believe that's the best I've ever done drawing Jeanette.(and sorry Simon ><. You don't translate into 'beast' so easily...)
And yes. Simon Beast still has glasses...It was originally supposed to be a Halloween costume (like Brittany and Alvin as Aladdin and Jasmine), but that kinda fell by the way-side.
And one more thing...Simon's shirt and that neck thingy were supposed to be white...but it just looks like it's out of place. *sigh* This was gonna be so good... I don't know what happened to it ><.
Ah, well...best to forgive and forget. This is up for you guys, critique it please! And...Eh...Well, I'm happy to say that I finally got a new sketch book (so the pages aren't almost all ripped out anymore) so we'll see what happens on a different type of paper.
EDIT: Goo ><. I forgot to color the inside of Simon's mouth...This thing just turned out so topsy-turvy from what I was hoping it'd be. And this last week had me so confused and rushed that I forgot to finish the pix ><. I'm not going back now...(Can't anyway...the sketch book fell apart and the pages are scattered everywhere...and I'm too sleepy to go and gather them up).

I've needed a boy for Koda since I thought her up. I can't stand the thought of putting someone in the middle of the Chipmunks and Chipettes, so that would leave Koda as the seventh wheel of the group. Having another boy makes it work more perfctly...Plus, I think I've finally found a reason to actually work him in (because if his only purpose is to be paired with Koda, then he'd be a waste of a character, but now he has a reason). AND because of him...I may actually be able to fit good 'ol Clyde Crashcup into it. So there's Vinny, Uncle Harry, AND Clyde! (Are there any other important minor characters I'm missing?)

Heh, Simon's facial expression in the picture makes him look too cute for him to truly be called The Beast... 
It IS a great picture though. Jeanette looks really cute in this picture, and Simon was done pretty well. You're certainly improving with the Chipmunks and the Chipettes.

like I said...it was originally supposed to be a halloween thing, but since I put Alvin and Brittany on a flying carpet up in the clouds, I decided to put Simon and Jeanette in the ballroom...Perhaps Jeanette could be dreaming, just like Brittany was?

Sadly, I was working on that, but...My teacher wrote on it with red pen and I just ended up giving up. I haven't been able to get back on track with that...I'll draw something else for them as soon as I have time and as soon as I can actually draw again...It's like drawer's-block (like writer's block, only I can't seem to draw anything worth looking at right now).

Love the background. And Simon's feet look really good. I'd work a little on the shape of their heads. I know it took me forever to get my heads the way they are now. Ah, and the eyes. The pupils are a bit large. Very well done, though. Keep practicing.
