Description

So I told people about that ‘Greatest Showman’ book I’m planning on writing, right?
Well, during the Venice performance, I’m planning on the troupe being invited to a Masquerade ball. Initially, I was planning on having Max dress as Anastasia from the ‘Once Upon A December’ sequence. But while chatting with a ‘Phantom of the Opera’ blog about the 2004 movie, they said they think Emmy Rossum’s Elissa gown (which is based off Winterhalter’s legendary portrait of the empress Elizabeth, or Sissi) should’ve been used for the ‘Masquerade’ sequence due to it’s origins and color scheme.
So I decided on having Max’s Masquerade costume be the 2004’s Elissa gown, altered to both match the original painting and to cover more skin.
