My dad has a swallow tattooed on his arm, for my mum.
My dad got also got a swallow because his grandad had a swallow tattoo.
I got my 1st swallow tattoo done illegally at some dodgey tattoo place when I was 17, it was done really bad so I wanted it covered up.
The place got shut down a few months later for giving someone some disease.
I always wanted two swallows. I love the colour pink, and I love ribbons and bows and girlycrap. haha
Swallows symbolise knowing where you belong because swallows travel long distances but always go back to where they came from, and they stick with the same partner their whole life.
I guess to me I got it cos it symbolizes me growing up, and hopefully moving out, but knowing where I come from.
To me it also kinda symbolises learning from my mistakes, and not going to dodgey tattoo places.
Because if things are worth doing they are worth doing properly!

I do love my tattoo, I dont think its like the most amazing tattoo ever, but I love it cos its mine and I love the meanings behind it
