Historical: This was posted in 2012.At age 16, I created this image for people to use in order to protest SOPA. People were worried that the bill would have unintended consequences and cause many major websites to shut down. The protests were successful, and SOPA never became law.

SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) was a 2012 bill in the US that raised concerns about being too draconian and causing collateral damage to the internet. It did not pass and never became law, largely due to public outcry.
