Description After doing the pusy bow piece [link] I thought it would be fun to look for more fashion thing that have animal names. Frankly I have no idea why this pattern is called houndstooth, the forms may look a little bit like a dog but where does the tooth come from?
Anyway, I had a lot of fun doing this, especially the little pug - am i weird to think pugs are cute?


Question: Do you know any more clothing related things that have animal names? I'd love to do more of these pictures!

There was a fashion trend in the 1950s called Teddy Boy...and that reminds me of bears haha! The colours are very vibrant and combined with your style, I'm sure it will be amazing!

Alligator skin is more of n accessory rather than a fashion type.

There's also Feather Boas! Those are always fun! Along with some Fishnets...hmmm?

How about Monkey Jackets? And if you want weird...there's also something called a Teddybear Jacket.

PS: I was so inspired by your houndstooth piece I'm making a painting for my mom of a chicken wearing houndstooth. I've always loved houndstooth but haven't been able to draw it, I like how you manged to simplify it and made it easier for me to break down.

Das ist so eines derer, die entweder schrecklich omahaft oder super modern wirken kΓΆnnen. Auf jeden Fall wirkt die junge Dame sehr elegant!

Der Kopf des HΓΌndchens wirkt etwas arg verzerrt... Ja, die Gesichter sind flach, aber so ist schon ein bisschen doll.
