Hi everyone! ^^

I bring you a new installment of "Royal Jewels". This time it's Princess Aurora (The Sleeping Beauty).

The Sleeping Beauty is a popular European fairy tale born of the oral tradition, the best known versions are those written by Charles Perrault in his book "Tales of Mother Goose" published in 1697: "Belle au Bois Dormant" (Sleeping Beauty from the forest) and the Brothers Grimm, "Dornröschen" (Sleeping Beauty).

The most popular version of the story is released by Disney in the 50's. In that version, the story is set in Germany (Prussia) from the XIV century.

I tried to capture the costumes and accessories of épocca, but ... I got carried away by my imagination! So I apologize if I am not entirely accurate

Hope you like it and I'll wait for your opinions!! >.<

Hola a todos!! ^^

Os traigo una nueva entrega de "las Joyas Reales". En esta ocasión se trata de la princesa Aurora (La Bella Durmiente).

La Bella Durmiente es un cuento de hadas popular europeo nacido de la tradición oral, las versiones más conocidas son las escritas por Charles Perrault en su libro "Cuentos de Mamá Ganso" publicado en 1697: "Belle au Bois Dormant" (La Bella Durmiente del Bosque) y la de los Hermanos Grimm: "Dornröschen" (Bella Durmiente).

La versión más popular de la historia es la difundida por DISNEY en los años 50. En dicha versión, el cuento se sitúa en la Alemania (Prusia) del siglo XIV.

He intentado captar el vestuario y los complementos de la épocca, pero...me he dejado llevar por mi imaginación!!! Así que pido disculpas si no soy del todo exacta

I love all the royal jewels you've done but I must ask: whenever I look at Aurora and Snow White's pics, I can't help but notice their angle and design of outfits and jewlery make them resemble The Evil Queen and Malificent. Did you do that on purpose, or happy accident, or am I just crazy? Again, love your work!

Really? Well, either way, I think it's pretty cool, intended or not! *plus, they made me get all conspiracy theorist about the heroines and their nemeses just being ultra-egos or if in the end, the princesses will turn out just like their arch-enemies once they grow old!*

Es grandioso en verdad que tienes un gran talento, y lo que mas he amado es que tomas el tiempo en investigar a estas princesas y ponerlas con sus ropas y joyas de la epoca(disney es muy generico y odie lo que hicieron con pocahontas [link] puesto que toda la pelicula se trato de estar orgullosa de quien era ella aun que a los ojos de otros la trataran como salvaje.
pero al ver TU VERSION DE ELLA ,me encanto y tenia que entrar a tu bella galeria a ver mas

Always my favorite. Did you know in the original story she woke up because she was raped in her sleep, and she had to give birth to twins? I think we all prefer Disney's version..........................
