PS: Ooooooook I give up. I can't draw Radish without having Vegeta's face popping up. So, my dear Radish, I hereby declare you a non-official Vegeta clone

It only took a second, though, after Vegeta and I were done talking for the moment, for me to turn my attention to something else. Vegeta heard them too, and that was when the both of us focused on a conversation going right in front of us.

"So you don't want to kill me?"

"No, I don't"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes I am, brat, but don't make me change my mind."

"Now that's weird.... So why did you come to Earth?"

"Naran brought me with her. And I wanted to measure up with you. And as your older brother, I need to give you a few punches. It's a prerrogative"

"Is she your girlfriend?"

"No, she's not. Not yet, at least. Did you hear what I said, Kakaroth? I want to fight with you"

"Ohhh! You like her! Hah! Vegeta won't be very happy when he finds out, you know!"

"Ugh, shut up, Kakaroth, or you will make me want to kill you. Just tell me your secret and let's get on with this"

"Secret? What secret?"

"You know, how you went from being worthless to being, well, like the Prince and all. And actually managed to kill me even if I was a lot stronger than you back then"

"Oh.. um... about that... sorry. But you know, you were trying to kill me and destroy the Earth... and you had my son... And I died too, anyway..."

"I know, I know, cut the small talk and show me your strength"

"Umm... ok... Wouldn't it be better though to just fight?"

Was it real? Raditz was actually CHATTING with Kakaroth? They were actually somehow bonding, like true brothers, and Vegeta looked at me, puzzled as much as I was.

"What's wrong with him?", he asked me, pointing at Raditz. "Is it REALLY him?"

"Yes, it is... I brought him back to life with the dragonballs from Namek, and well, let me say he's slightly changed. I guess soul cleansing does that to you", I answered him. "Long story..."

"I can see that...", Vegeta said, then went back to paying attention at the two other Saiyans.

My revenge plans were crumbling. Everything was going wrong, that's not how I had planned it. And that's when I heard his voice again. And everything else just stopped, everyone seemed to be frozen in time.

"You know, Naran... that's how everything was supposed to go all along. You weren't supposed to fight Kakaroth, that's not why I guided you to Earth. You see that?", and then I saw Bardock again, in his ethereal form, right next to me. "That's why I guided you here. They need to find what they lost because of Frieza and because of me. I kept them apart, because of my battles, I allowed Kakaroth to be sent away... it's time for them to rediscover each other".

"But... I had to make Kakaroth pay for what he did to Raditz... for taking Vegeta's pride..."

"Naran... watch my two sons... they're talking. Peacefully. Watch your brother... does he look angry at Kakaroth? He dealt with it, he had his match against Kakaroth, they actually fought together to save the Earth, they've become friends. Time has passed for them, things have changed. It's a different situation now. There's no place for hate, Princess, no place for revenge. Now forget about it, forget about fighting Kakaroth. Let things follow their course".

And just as he arrived, he vanished, and time seemed to pass normally again. Kakaroth and Raditz were measuring up their powerlevels, raising their strength as much as they could. Kakaroth was surprised with how strong Raditz had become, and Raditz was glowing with pride. Finally he could measure up to his brother. Too bad he didn't know about Kakaroth being able to become a Super Saiyan... Vegeta was watching them, and soon all their other friends arrived to the place where we were, probably followed by their energy levels. Even the Namekian was there, and Vegeta just seemed to be at ease with them. Maybe Bardock was right? Maybe I wasn't supposed to fight, but to bring the two brothers together? Was that my true destiny?

Però, ci bastarono pochi secondi, dopo che Vegeta ed io avevamo finito di parlare almeno per il momento, per farmi fare attenzione a qualcos'altro. Anche Vegeta li aveva sentito, e quello fu sufficiente per farci concentrare sulla conversazione che si svolgeva davanti a noi.

"Quindi non mi vuoi uccidere..."

"No, non voglio ucciderti."

"Sei sicuro?"

"Si, lo sono, marmocchio, ma non farmi cambiare idea."

"Ecco, questo è strano... allora perché sei venuto sulla Terra?"

"Naran mi ha portato con lei. E volevo misurarmi con te. Siccome sono tuo fratello maggiore, devo darti qualche botta, però. E' una prerogativa"

"Ma lei è tua fidanzata?"

"No, non lo è. Almeno non ancora... Ma mi hai sentito, Kakaroth? Voglio battermi con te"

"Ahhh! Lei ti piace!! Hah! Vegeta non sarà contento quando lo scoprirà, lo sai?"

"Agh, zitto, Kakaroth, o mi farai avere voglia di ucciderti. Dimmi il tuo segreto e finiamo questa storia"

"Lo sai, come sei riuscito a passare da un saiyan di basso livello ad uno come il Principe e tutto quanto. E sei riuscito pure a farmi ammazzare anche se ero molto più forte di te a quell'epoca"

"Ah.. um... a proposito... mi dispiace per quello. Ma lo sai, stavi cercando di uccidermi e distruggere la Terra... e avevi mio figlio... E poi, sono morto anch'io comunque..."

"Lo so, lo so, smettila con le chiacchiere e mostrami la tua forza"

"Sei sicuro?"

"Si, lo sono. Misuriamoci. Prima con i livelli di forza. Poi con un piccolo combattimento. Pronto?"

"Hmm, Radish, non credo che tu riuscirai a starmi dietro..."

"Proviamoci, Kakaroth. Ti sorprenderai..."

"Ok, se dici... allora cosa? Alziamo soltanto i livelli di forza?"

"Hmm... no, non basta... ok, marmocchio... colpiamo quella roccia grossa laggiu con colpi di energia"

"Colpire una roccia?"

"Si, tu colpisci quella, io colpisco quella accanto. L'esplosione più grande vince. Che ne dici?"

"Umm... ok... comunque non sarebbe meglio combattere e basta?"

"Non rovinare il divertimento, Kakaroth. Il combattimento viene dopo. Pronto? Uno... due..."

"Vincerò io, lo sai..."

"Questo lo vedremo, fratellino..."

Ma era vero? Radish chiacchierava con Kakaroth??? Sembrava quasi che tra di loro si formasse un certo legame, proprio come veri fratelli, e Vegeta mi guardò, confuso tanto quanto me.

"Che succede con lui?", mi chiese, indicando Radish. "E' VERAMENTE lui?"

"Si, è lui... l'ho riportato in vita con le sfere del drago di Namek, e beh... diciamo che lui è cambiato un pò. Forse purificare l'anima anche parzialmente fa questo effetto...", gli rispose. "Lunga storia..."

"Lo vedo...", Vegeta rispose, e poi si voltò ancora per seguire la conversazione degli due altri Saiyan.

I miei piani di vendetta crollavano... Tutto andava storto, non era così che avevo pianificato! E fu in quel momento che sentii la sua voce, ancora una volta. E tutto il resto si fermò, tutti quanti sembravano fermi nel tempo.

"Sai, Naran, era così' che dovevano andare le cose sin dall'inizio. Non dovevi lottare con Kakaroth, non è stato questo il motivo per il quale ti ho spinto sulla Terra. Vedi quello?", ed a quel punto vidi Bardack ancora, nella sua forma eterea, proprio accanto a me. "E' stato per quello che ti ho guidata fin qui. Loro dovevano trovare ciò che avevano perso per colpa di Freezer, per colpa mia. Gli ho separati da piccoli, ho permesso a Freezer di inviare Kakaroth lontano... Tocca a loro ora riscoprire quello che sono, entrambi ,e riscoprire loro stessi"

"Ma... dovevo far pagare a Kakaroth quello che ha fatto a Radish... per aver ferito l'orgoglio di Vegeta..."

"Naran... guarda i miei due figli... che parlano. Pacificamente. Guarda tuo fratello... lui ti sembra arrabbiato con Kakaroth? Lui ha superato tutto quello, ha avuto l'opportunità di lottare affianco a Kakaroth per salvare la Terra, sono diventati amici. Il tempo è passato per loro, le cose sono cambiate. E' una situazione diversa adesso. Non c'è posto per l'odio, Principessa, o per la vendetta. Ora scordati di combattere contro Kakaroth e lascia che le cose seguano il loro cammino"

E Bardack scompari nel nulla, ancora una volta. Ed il tempo sembrava essersi ripreso. Kakaroth e Radish continuavano a misurare i loro livelli di forza, alzando le loro forze al massimo. Kakaroth era sorpreso di quanto Radish fosse diventato forte, e quest'ultimo era pieno d'orgoglio. Finalmente poteva essere pari a suo fratello. Peccato che non sapeva della capacità di Kakaroth di diventare Super Saiyan... Vegeta guardava entrambi in silenzio, e dopo un pò di tempo, tutti gli altri amici arrivarono nel posto dov'eravamo, probabilmente seguendo le energie di Kakaroth e Radish. Anche il namekiano era li, e Vegeta sembrava a suo agio accanto a loro. Forse Bardack aveva ragione? Forse non dovevo lottare, ma portare insieme i due fratelli. Era quello il mio vero destino?
