Wow... I had this one sitting for the longest time with the lines almost done and now I finished the rest of it all today. Needless to say, I am exhausted.

Anyways! I actually have a list of "Headcannon" type things for tmnt that I'm gonna end up drawing and this was one of them. I was thinking, "when did the guys realize they could pull themselves into their shells?" Maybe it was when they were babies, but maybe it was when they were older. Maybe eight years old or so. And as kids do, when there's a scary new thing that happens, they freak. Probably instants after this they all called for Splinter. He probably was shocked but then again, he knows they're turtles so not visibly shocked. Comforting words and such. Now I just want to draw the after math of this!

Anyways, I hope you like this piece! Tell me what you think of it and how to improve if you have any tips! Also, tell me if you'd be interested in commissions! I've really been thinking about doing those especially as I feel my style is more pleasing to more people.
