For turning a digital art piece into an animation, rather than just doing a traditional drawing frame-by-frame thing, I'm not sure there is an efficient way to go about it. It's pretty hard and slow. XD

Great but for some reason I like the sketch better. Maybe it's because the colors are a little too vibrant for how dark the atmosphere is.

To each their own, I guess. I intended for this to be bright, cartoony and cute and I think I achieved that.
Listen, these short abrupt pieces of negativity are starting to get to me. I think you're trying to help, but honestly it's not working. I know I make mistakes in every art piece; I'd be an egoistical fool to think otherwise. But having them pointed out so brusquely every time I post something discourages me more than it helps. I'm starting to dread posting at all.
I spent a lot of time and effort on this; did I really need to know you don't like it that much? That doesn't help, that just hurts. I'd prefer if you kept those thoughts to yourself and didn't comment at all if that's all you have to say.
I know this is the internet and this is what I should expect for putting my hard work out there for anyone to judge, and there's nothing I can do to stop people from posting negative comments. But I can at least let you know that it's affecting me badly and request that you stop. Yes I make mistakes and have plenty of room for improvement, but honestly these frequent snips of unsolicited criticism are harming more than they're helping.

If people want to give feedback on a drawing, they need to be able to backup their criticism in a constructive way that doesn't demean the artists abilities in the process.
The goal of giving proper feedback means being constructive so you can enable the artist to improve and especially because you don't want to come across as being ignorant, rude or hurtful.
Negative comments that do not have any legitimate intent to help the artist improve, but rather just pointing out mistakes so the person can be right, come across as extremely rude.
I agree that after a while, that would get draining and I can see why you'd be afraid to post. I am all for critiques and constructive feedback, but if you aren't going to be helpful and just plain negative and hurtful.... even almost insulting at this point... then don't comment.
I also make my pieces vibrant and love using colour, and while I can see what the guy is saying, it's not that bad that it should be called out in the way he chose to, as his wording really does come across as disrespectful and almost insulting. ....why comment if you only want to be a smartass and bring down an artist?

Still, I'm fairly sure Marinus was only trying to help. He's just a bit brusque with his comments sometimes, and often it feels like he only comments if he has something negative to say... I just thought I should say something, since it's making me anxious and I doubt that's what he intended.

I don't know him super well, but he's commented several times and he gives me the impression that he wants to help despite his tendencies to be abrupt with his words. His comments often come off as a bit insulting, so I can see why you thought that.

I personally liked the bright cartoony feel. The sketch seemed ominous due to its darker shading, but this one makes it look calm and peaceful, like Charla's taking time off to slow down and not worry about all the problems she's dealing with.
Also love the animated rain. I don't know what it is about it, but all the other animated rain pieces you've done just look so satisfying.

Aaa, well thanks! This is the atmosphere I originally wanted for this piece actually, something cute and calming. The grayscale sketch just made it look gloomier, lol.
