hey, sorry about very late reply, had computer issues, your welcome by the way and a reference is a picture that you use to draw from, for example do you draw from a photograph or do you just draw from your mind?

But i have a question, have you put graphite on white paper or chalk on black?
The background sure looks pretty dark.

Normal white paper, background is drawn with 8B pencil

I don't know whether 8B pencils are available in India or not. I usually use 6B pencils to work on the dark parts.
