Description
So this is my Young Justice OC. She is one of Cadmus's original experiments, she's a hybrid of Poison Ivy and a plant. Instead of growing in 16 days like Superboy, she was born from a surrogate and raised for 17 years in a lab. Her "mother" named her Audrey after the movie Little Shop of Horrors.
I wanted her to have vines for hair and look like dreads so she does :d. Audrey needs a combination of food and sunlight to flourish. Her skin and hair contain chlorophyll instead of melanin and if she is out of the sun for more than a day, she turns dull and seems to wilt.
If her hair is cut it will "bleed" like if you cut a vine, and she can feel it. Her hair vines are prehensile and they tend to move with the sun when exposed for long periods of time (like she wakes up and her hair is extended to the window). She also tends to flower in spring, her hair becoming more lively. Instead of getting pimples she "sprouts."
Because she is half plant Poison Ivy has a degree of control over her, both physically and mentally. Audrey is not a hero, but she's not a villain either. When forded to side she will generally choose the heros, though (Unless Poison Ivy is present).
When she's in a high stress situation, she releases an inner monster that causes blind destruction. It calls upon vines that wrap around her and destroys without prejudice. It's highly difficult to bring her back from this and when she does snap out of it, she usually sleeps for a few days afterwards.
She's rather quiet, almost timid, and prefers not to fight. She has the ability to speak to plants, but doesn't have as much control over them as Poison Ivy. Since she was a lab baby, she has a hard time interacting with other people, which is why she's so timid.
I like her character, so hopefully you will too.
