I have a pot belly too, and you can see it in lots of my photos. I don't believe there's any one "right" set of proportions. If your body naturally thickens at the waist, then that's the natural and right shape for you!

Just my crazy way of expressing things. People go to extremes dieting to get "the look" and then stuff themselves with sillycone, colligen, and who knows what else to plump out areas that shrunk in the process.
