So that's where you were.
I went to Dublin once.
I'd like to go again.

This photo is sleepy.

We had a tour. Third time I have been in Ireland. I love Ireland. Things have changed a lot ! The economic boom is halted now, but you can see it had taken place ; more and better houses, more food available and diverse. More tourists. And more cars on the same narrow roads, that"s creepy !

I just stayed in Dublin to see Jacques our elder son in 2004; we had a very sunny four days. I really enjoyed the plane journey.

Jacques had a nice modern flat but I preferred "Dublin Doors" which are coloured and have a nice window on the top.

I'll have to go again. I really wanted to see the book of Kells in real, but we didnt managed that. The fly (of course on low-cost fly) is less expensive that a TGV for Paris...The controls are a pain. I was sgruggling to put out my laced shoes, then put them on, with the crowd pushing behind me. There is a little ring of metal on the strings holes !

We didn't go into the university building and didn't see the book of Kells. My husband is never interested by museums. We like good buildings and the atmosphere of certain towns. We like lovely scenery the best.
We went there by RyanAir as you probably did. It was OK and we saw all the countryside under us on the way back.

I haven't yet used our TGV Est to Paris. It is a lot of money. It stops here! We would get there in about 2 hours instead of three and a quarter. I haven't been that way since my father in England died in 2003.

I just took the shoes I wear all the time, just sandals that I can put my orthopaedic soles into. Even so our bags were heavy and Bernard got a bad back on the way home. He almost fell back off the steps as he climbed into the train. Someone put his hand firmly on his back and pushed him. Luckily it wasn't on the first day.

Yes TGV is really nice and confortable -but cost a lot. I would go to Paris more often if possible! I had two pair of shoes to go in Ireland, sandals and a leather pair for bad weather and little walks. But the weather was quite wet, my shoes in grass gave me wet feet all the day (too old, they werent waterproof) and after that we climbed a hill on a bad trail and a slight tendinitis I have became more bothering. And I had fungus :C.
So I buyed cheap shoes but that can hold the ankle and not be wet, and throw the other ones. They are ugly but I dont mind...Except that they are quite long to ajust and remove ! My man and younger daughter are more interested in historical museum than I am; and I am more interested in art museum than they are. I consider the book of Kells art, of course .

In Lugano we visited a modern art museum. There was really a lot of rubbish. It was a private collection. English and American "artists".
"On se fout de notre gueule." was my husband's comment.
The only thing I liked were some very small pieces of wood with straight lines made with pyrogravure. It was a bit better than what my children made.

My daughter wore laced sporty shoes some of the time. Luckily it didn't rain too much.
I've never had fungus on my feet. Beurk!

I visited a small art museum in Cork. It was an exhibition of a single artist ; surreal drawings that were in succession on video. I beleive he worked by erasings, but I am not sure, I just guess because of the continuity. I really liked it but my family was outside, waiting in the street. 2 dont like art, one does but provided it is before the Renaissance ! So I am usually alone for modern or contemporary art.

We go together but I always feel worried that Bernard will be bored so I don't enjoy it.

I know ! But the waves are so similar to each others it makes them look like CGI ones...

Talking about the waves, they are so similar and dark that you may ask yourself if it's water or rock !

I know you shoot (that's why i'm going to hide !)

Thank you ! The weather was so and so, but we had a few moment of wonderful light.
Halas it was usually not possible to stop the car to catch those moments ; the roads are really narrow with no place on the side at all.
