Yeah, I liked Ed Edd n Eddy fine, more when I got older than I was little for some odd reason. And yeah, that pic you linked is just plain hilarious xD

I think the reason why people love their favorite childhood shows even more when they get older, is because it's easier to appreciate the details that really made the cartoon great that they wouldn't have noticed when they were children. That was certainly the case with me when I re-watched some of my old fav cartoons when I got older.
