I just adore Doug TenNapel 'GEAR', its such a wonderful comic...It nearly made me get the sniffles. Anywho, this is Gear, the forbidden mechanism being kidnapped and lifted up into Pago's Guardian (giant robot). Any one who's read knows what happens to poor Gear next....

Gear is seen as a sort of savior in the story, whoever has him will win this war. But people are disappointed when he's first activated because he's not what people expected.
As said above, from Doug TenNapel's (the guy who made Earth Worm Jim) comic GEAR. Which some the main characters of that comic are now in the Cartoon 'CatScratch'.
