Thanks! This is Queen Medb, or Maeve. She was the legendary queen of Connaught from the Irish epic An Táin. 'An Táin' translates as 'the cattle raid'. Medb's ambition caused a war between Connaught and Ulster which gave all of our mythical heroes the chance to murder each other in exceedingly bloody fashion. It's kind of like Ireland's Illiad.

Thanks so much! The most worrying part was definitely deciding to try a new style.

I haven't been keeping properly up to date with my watch feed but I just now saw the piece you did recently with the f-15 over a smokey background. Very beautiful image.
