Trill and I have explored this concept so many times, I can't believe I hadn't expressed it digitally before.It's a feeling I can identify very strongly with, is all. My colour work isn't good enough to express it very well yet, but I'll get there. xD For now, I feel this is a concept I'll continue revisiting. It's pretty personal to me, I guess.
As always, I like these things being open to your interpretation; I love knowing what my pieces say to you ['s why I try to keep my titles kinda neutral at times]. That's what's so awesome about art. There's no wrong: only different versions and interpretations of the truth.

All the different colours and shapes on the body remind me of tattoos, so to me it says something like 'express yourself' or 'make yourself stand out'. I like the fact that the skin is grey as well, it adds to the idea of normality being boring but you being able to change it up with your own style ^^
I also love that expression, it kinda makes me think Trill's saying "I am who I am, deal with it" XD

I like it how there is a vibrant pink that pulls my eye torwards that side a bit whilst the others are more gradienty? is that even a word >__> ? now it is.

Yeah, for this piece specifically I didn't want there to be a ridiculous amount of contrast between the colours. 's why they're kinda muted. D: Artistically, I probably should have added more though, you're right. ^^
