If I am reading that scoop right this should be a '400' V8, a bored-out 389 engine. GM basically lifted all engine restrictions for this baby.Β

This is my favourite shape of the Trans Am, my goodness she is achingly beautiful! Easily one of the coolest cars ever made, especially the ones with the 455 under the front deck! teehee!

Hahha, oh this response is beyond late. I've been thinking about the development of the Pontiac trans am in terms of its design, i agree that the 1977 shape certainly has its appeal (i'd love to have one myself), the third gen model is a stunner in equal measure, certainly this muscle car took an interesting direction in terms of styling from the early 70s into the late 80s, not huge on the 4th gen shape, but atleast it went properly. I still think its a shame that the oil crisis hurt the power output, that these cars should have had in the first place... but with that said, nothing a modern crate motor can't fix!

my cousin is right about the '67 vette altough I think the '73 trans am is better then the '70

yep....sweet piece but this one has a nicer front end. i like the rounded lamps and the sectioned grill on this
