spotted this Japanese beauty while i was riding my bike yesterday afternoon and the first thing that drew my attention was the color itself. that Orange looked so right on these "Peanut" Corollas asides the chrome Corolla AE85 SR5 wheels. this is a 1977 Corolla 2 door sedan with the Toyoglide 2 speed automatic (quite a rare sight too, since most of the ones i've seen had 5 speed manuals). the Toyoglide was basically a Chevrolet Powerglide transmission which Toyota built under license back when they made the first 3 generations of it.

it ends up the owner is the ex husband of my elementary school teacher, who we knew personally as well since my brother's friends with him( not to mention sold us his KP61 in May 1999 after he lost his 4th gen Corolla wagon in a car accident).

this was bar none one of the cleanest looking 3rd gen Corollas i've ever seen and its for sale. the asking price is 4,800$, not sure if i would buy one for that price though but i believe its a reasonable price.
