Yep definately a 20s model! I'm collecting parts to build a 26. I have the cowl, one of the guages, the grill shell with a radiator cap, steering column, 1 door, and the hubcaps so far! lol

Damn that fake brass on the grill, and headlight rings looks pathetic. Compare it to the real brass on the horn infront of the driver's door

indeed they look fake and methinks they painted over it instead of leaving it alone

Thats what it looks like to me its way too light, even for polished brass

It's about a 1925, but they've painted the radshell and headlight rings to pretend it's older, I hate it when people do that.

Same here, they are normally either black of nickel plated.

I was reading an auction brochure here 2 years ago and there was a running T in it but they did'nt know the year... so I went to go look at it, and it was a 26 with a 23 body, the 26 hood was bolted halfway up the older cowl, the radshell and headlight rings were painted very poorly with gold paint, the frame was broken and the rear spring was broken, there were 2x4 wood blocks wired to it to keep it together, and the body behind the drivers seat was all plywood, it was bady rusted with thick black paint over evrything... I figured I could buy it for the parts for my own T's for less then $200 (which was more then it was worth) a couple of idiots who were convinced it was a bras era T bid it up to $8500... I would love to see their faces when they figured out it was just a trashed worn-out amalgum of several cars.

lol how stupid were people back then?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HotRod-302 In reply to Mister-Lou [2010-01-13 02:41:06 +0000 UTC]

Well, stupid enough to rely on cables for brakes, fuel guages were routed through the dash board and visible through glass tubes, and they even had cars that had heaters that plumbed into the fuel line and lit inside the car like a lantern! Carbonmonoxide poisoning and fires were a problem, so they put a warning label...on the bottom of that device.

HotRod-302 In reply to Mister-Lou [2010-01-14 04:45:54 +0000 UTC]

Oh some of these things are just classic! I thought about getting one of those heaters, but putting a regular heater core in it and a red glowing light. But they're too small, a heater core wouldn't do enough to warm the Dodge.
